RACV - Complete lack of service!

At 12.30pm today, I rang to get help as my car was bogged off the driveway. I gave details of the car to the operator.

At 2.00pm the man arrived. I walked down to see him. He couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge me as he was on his mobile 'phone. Eventually I went back into the house.

I then saw him, walking about in front of the house - was he incapable of getting to the front door? He told me I needed a tow truck - surely that could have been sent in the first place?

He then said it would be another hour before it would be here. I was going out at 3.00pm - so I said to send it around in the morning. I was informed I would have to ring up and order it. I waited on the 'phone for ten minutes to book the tow truck and was then told by an equally rude person on the 'phone that I had to ring up myself in the morning.

I suppose I have been spoiled in the U.S., where service is paramount and everyone is well-mannered. To come back to Oz and put up with treatment like this is insufferable. I have been a member of the top grade of RACV roadside assistance since 1996 and it's about time I was given service commensurate with what I pay them.
